The online course is suitable for all skill levels from beginner to experienced. This is the ideal starting point for entering the field of birth photography and is strongly encouraged for all those who are intending to participate in The Business of Birth Photography Workshop.

 

 

ONLINE COURSE FAQ’S

 

How is the online course run?

 

• Once you register for the online course on the Eventzilla page, you will be sent an email within 24 hours verifying your registration and requesting you set up a profile within the forum site, Online Learning.

 

• Once you have access to the site, you will be able to preview all of the modules, media and materials within the forum.

 

• The idea of the experience is that whist working your way though the modules, you will be able to discuss the topics within it with Victoria, Cassie and other photographers who are praticipating also. This will be  interactive, with discussions and activities to participate in and complete. To officially complete each module you will be required to either engage in the topic discussion (posting a comment) or submit your project / photograph or link.

 

• We totally understand how busy life can be, so the forum has been designed to allow you to work at your own pace. You don't need to keep up with discussions happening in other modules, or feel you have to slow down to stay with the group. Just work at your pace and manage your time as you need to.

 

• You can access the information for a 12 month period initially but this can be extended if you require it. Following completion of the course you will be invited to a Facebook after-party group to stay connected with your fellow photographers.

 

 

Do I need to be online at a certain time of the day?

 

• No, the Open Learning forum will always be open for you to read, ask questions and discuss topics. But we may not respond to your questions at all hours of the day and night... we sleep sometimes too!

 

 

How much time is required each week?

 

• This is entirely up to you, you can be as interactive as you like. Reading / viewing the content can be done at your leisure, if  you can assign an hour every few days to read and contribute, that would be ideal!

 

 

What if I haven’t photographed a birth yet?

 

• That’s ok!! This is an ideal place to start to learn about what is required for you to shoot your first birth successfully.

 

 

Do I need to be a professional Photographer?

 

• No you don’t, however we do encourage you to undertake some professional training to ensure you are ready to start photographing births.
