The Business of Birth Photography Workshops are more than just a typical photography workshop - it's an experience you'll cherish, learning you will grow from and inspiration you will be able to apply. The workshop is a condensed one-day experience, from 9am start to a 5.00pm finish.

From the very first activity through to the final one, you will enjoy the opportunity to focus your passion for photography around this amazing genre. You will practice various camera techniques under common lighting conditions found in the birth environment under the experienced guidance of Victoria and Cassie. You will also have the opportunity to witness insightful discussions whilst engaging in some fantastic networking opportunities.

Throughout the sessions you will have an opportunity to explore ideas and refine your business direction as Victoria and Cassie discuss their own experiences and avenues that have worked to build the profile of their own businesses.

What past attendee's have said:

“When I first booked in for the Australian Birth Photography Workshop and Retreat in Adelaide I wasnt sure what was in store for me. I was a bit apprehensive about what exactly I would be learning and how it would apply to my unique situation in Central Queensland.

However within two hours it was apparent that the Workshops were everything I needed to learn and more! I was blown away with the level of depth Victoria went into with her workshops and the experience not only made me question every fiber of my business, but also parts of it that I had never even given much thought to! Victoria opened my eyes to see my worth and the value of my services and products. And she gave me the insight needed to help others see the value of their investment in me.

When I returned home I was inspired, motivated and armed with the tools to set my new business plan in motion. Within a fortnight of returning I had secured four new clients (with my new pricing), and these bookings alone paid for the retreat five times over. I never would have been able to grow my business so quickly without Victoria’s guidance. My bookings are still steadily growing since then, and I see the next 12 months bringing in more growth and development.

My advice to anyone thinking of taking the step is DO IT! Your clients, your business, your family and YOU, will never regret it.”

“When I first heard about the Birth Photography workshop I immediately sent an email through to make sure I scored a place there.

To go to a workshop run by an amazing photographer, such as Victoria was something I just could not pass up.

I travelled from Victoria to Adelaide and on the first night we all got to know the other attendees. It was a night that helped us feel more relaxed with each other and socialise before we started the workshop.

To say that the next 2 days were amazing is a complete understatement. The work book alone, was a fantastic and very detailed tool for us to follow along as the course progressed as well as being able to make notes, talk about it and take back home was a great thing to go home with.

Not only did we have a practical and theoretic sections but we had the ability to share our own experiences during the time there. Bouncing ideas off each other really talking about what we, as birth photographers had faced together but also how to take on this genre with ethics and ways to adopt with our own local doctors and hospitals to keep building birth photography as a wonderful documentation of a major family event.

Victoria didn’t hold back with any of the information that she shared, she shared whole heartedly, everything that makes her such a successful photographer and has been very encouraging to each individual workshop attendee

I highly recommend Victoria’s birth photography workshop. It not only helped me with my birth photography but also with every aspect for my other photography genres.

To say it was a life changing event is an understatement.”

“As soon as I heard about Victoria’s Workshop + Retreat, I knew I needed to do it! It was a fantastic sisterhood of birth photographers all in one spot for an extended weekend! The workbook is clearly something that she has spent many, many hours on, and it is filled with very detailed information. Victoria was very open with the information she shared throughout the workshop. I learnt so much from the whole weekend. I came away from it knowing what I need to do for my business and the tools and knowledge to get it done, as well as connections and a network with other birth photographers from all over Australia. It was so good to meet people in person and have that personal connection, compared to talking over the internet. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I loved every minute of it!!”
